Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Dr. Wendy Sowell Gibson the leading provider of vision care products and services in Benton.

Wendy Sowell Gibson, O.D.

Dr. Gibson is a native of Marshall County and a graduate of South Marshall High School. After attending Murray State, she graduated from the University of Houston, College of Optometry. She and her husband, Bill, have three children. Their son, Andy, is an aerospace engineer, with a degree from the University of Tennessee, working in Huntsville, Alabama. His wife, Lisa Cloud, also from Marshall County, is an English professor at Northwest Shoals Community College. Daughter, Cassie received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama and is practicing in Mayfield. Dr. Gibson’s youngest son, Nick is a student at Murray State University.

Dr. Gibson received the Kentucky Optometric Association’s Young Optometrist of the Year Award in 1986 and the Clifford C. Leadingham Award in 2006.

Staff

Denise Harrison  received the Kentucky Optometric Association, Paraoptometric of the Year Award in 2008.  Our other team members are Kathie Cook, Katie McKendree, and Lacey Holmes.
